SoMa

South of Market is an area of the city that  almost never visit.  A shame really.  I convinced Luis to take BART to the city and walk with me. I bought a book by local women who write power walking books.  They started with Paris, went to SF, London and then Seattle and New York are in the works.

We started at the Ferry Building and headed to the Baseball Park..there are such wonderful views of the Bay Bridge and Yerba Buena Island.

Mushrooms for sale in the Ferry Building Market Place

I couldn't remove the glare.  It says "Tasty Salted Pig Parts" !!

Loved the old iron work

Hanging Flower Baskets Along the Embarcadero

The sun was out for the first time in days.  Hate the summer San Francisco fog.  It has been so gray and drizzly and cold.

We were able to see the moon through the bridge.  It's very pale but it's there.
A very light half moon

We made it to Pac Bell park and there is a free viewing section, so we watched the game for a few minutes and ate lunch at 3 Agaves, a wonderful Mexican restaurant near the park.  The whole street lights up at night and I remember when we went to see the Rolling Stones that all the bars and restaurants were really rocking.  Anyway, the guacamole was fantastic and we even had a margarita.

We did order lunch after this!!
